Peterborough is a vibrant environment and heritage city at the heart of rural East England bridging the borders of four counties – Cambridgeshire, Rutland, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire.

Here you’ll find the beautiful Peterborough Cathedral, the fascinating Peterborough Museum complete with reconstructed Victorian operating theatre, incredible Flag Fen Archaeology Park with a Bronze Age village and causeway giving us a glimpse into our early past and Nene Park – home to woodlands, footpaths and Ferry Meadows recreation area where communities come together.

So what is TED and TEDx?
TED began in 1984 as a conference bringing together Technology, Entertainment and Design and is a non-profit focused on spreading ideas through short and impactful talks of up to 18 minutes.
Today it is a world-wide community, covering everything from science to business to global issues.
TED welcomes people from all walks of life and all cultures keen to develop a deeper understanding of the world we live in.
At the heart of TED is the power of ideas to change the world, bringing together inspirational thinkers and speakers to discuss, debate and create.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx program
TEDxPeterborough is one of thousands of independently organized local events taking place across the globe where people are brought together to share a TED-like experience.
TEDx events are run by unpaid volunteers with the content and design of each TEDx event unique.
At TEDxPeterborough live talks and videos recorded at previous TED conferences will be shared with the community, sparking deep discussion and connection.
